Help/Sales Hub/Trial, grace period, and going Pro

Trial, grace period, and going Pro

What happens during your 30-day trial, the 7-day grace window after, and how to upgrade to Pro when you're ready.

Every brand-new Sales Hub workspace starts on a 30-day Pro trial. Full Pro features, no card on file, no auto-charge at the end. Here's how the trial works and what happens at each step.

Days 1–30: full Pro trial

  • Unlimited active contacts (the 500 cap doesn't apply).
  • Email integration available — connect Gmail or Outlook, send and receive through the Sales Hub.
  • Every other feature unlocked.
  • No card needed. We won't ask. Nothing auto-charges at day 30.

A small countdown pill in the top-right of the page tells you how many days are left. Click it any time to see the upgrade options.

Days 31–37: the grace window

After day 30 you have a 7-day grace window. The Pro features stay on, but you'll see an amber banner at the top of every Sales Hub page saying the trial has ended and reminding you to upgrade.

  • Email sync still runs.
  • All your contacts still active.
  • Banner is amber, not red — this is a soft landing, not a degraded mode.

Day 38 onwards: free plan

If you haven't upgraded by day 38, your workspace drops to the free plan. Specifically:

  • Email integration pauses. Past emails on contact timelines stay; new emails stop syncing.
  • Your mailbox connection is preserved — we keep the encrypted access keys safely on file. One click reactivates the moment you upgrade. No re-authorisation with Google or Microsoft.
  • Active-contact cap of 500 kicks in. Contacts above the cap show a lock icon. You can browse and search them; you can't open detail pages or add new activity until you free up slots or upgrade.
  • Everything else stays. Deals, companies, quotes, tasks, sales board, settings — all unchanged.

Free is permanent

There's no further countdown after the drop to free. The free Sales Hub is forever. You can stay on it indefinitely, and upgrade later when it makes sense for the business.

How to upgrade

1

Click the Upgrade button

It lives in the trial countdown pill, on the email settings page when paused, on locked contact pages, on the pricing page, and a few other places. They all lead to the same checkout.

2

Pick how many CRM users to pay for

We auto-suggest the number of teammates with CRM access right now. Adjust if you're planning to add more.

3

Enter your payment details

Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Canadian and Australian customers will see USD pricing on the form; the equivalent CAD or AUD lands on your card statement at the day's exchange rate.

4

Confirm

Pro turns on within seconds. The trial pill disappears; email sync reactivates if it was paused; the contact cap goes away.

Refer a friend, get free Pro time

Every workspace owner you refer who upgrades to Pro earns you a free month of Pro. Free for them, free for you. Find your personal share link in the Refer tab on your manage menu.

Cancelling Pro

Open Settings → Billing in the manage menu. Click Cancel. Pro stays active until the end of your current billing month, then drops to free. Same drop behaviour as the trial — email pauses, contact cap kicks in, everything else stays. Reactivate any time.

Changing payment method or billing address

Same Settings → Billing page. Update card details inline. Past invoices are listed there too as downloadable PDFs.
