A complete, detailed profile gets more views and more inquiries. Here's how to make your CrewFinder listing work harder for you.
Complete every section of your profile
CrewFinder's search algorithm favours profiles with more information. Every field you fill out (description, locations, services, certifications, logo) increases your chances of appearing in relevant searches.
Quick win
Profiles with a logo, at least one location, and a detailed description appear significantly higher in search results than bare-bones listings.
Write a strong company description
Your description is the first thing operators read. Make it count:
- Lead with what you do and where you do it
- Mention specific services, equipment, and capabilities
- Include the regions you serve
- Highlight what sets you apart, such as years of experience, safety record, specialised equipment
- Keep it factual and professional; avoid generic marketing language
Add accurate service locations
Your locations determine where you show up in geographic searches. If you service a wide area, add multiple locations or set a generous service radius. An operator searching for contractors near Fort McMurray won't find you if your only listed location is Calgary with a small radius.
Choose the right trades and sectors
Your primary trade and sector are used to match you with searches. Pick the most specific option that fits. "Directional Drilling" is better than "General Construction" if that's what you actually do. Add secondary services to capture related searches.
Add your safety certifications
Operators often filter by certification. If you hold ISN, COR, SECOR, OSHA, Avetta, or ComplyWorks credentials, add them to your profile. Certified companies get a badge on their listing that builds immediate trust.
Upload a company logo
Listings with a logo stand out in search results. Use a clear, high-resolution version of your logo; it appears in search cards, your profile header, and anywhere your company is referenced on CrewFinder.
Add client references
If you've worked with well-known operators or general contractors, add them as client references. If the client is also on CrewFinder, their logo appears on your profile automatically, giving visitors immediate confidence in your track record.
Keep your profile up to date
An outdated profile with a disconnected phone number or old address hurts your credibility. Review your listing every few months to make sure your contact info, services, and locations are current.
It's all free
Every feature mentioned here (logos, certifications, locations, client references) is completely free. There's no premium tier to unlock.
