Sectors
When you set up your profile, you choose a primary sector that describes the industry you serve. Current sectors include:

- Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream)
- Mining and Mineral Extraction
- Renewable Energy and Power Generation
- Railroad and Transportation Infrastructure
- Industrial Maintenance and Turnarounds
- Environmental and Remediation Services
- Inspection and Quality Assurance
- Utilities and Telecommunications
Don't see your sector?
CrewFinder is growing. If your sector isn't listed, choose the closest match and describe your specialty in your company description. We're adding new sectors regularly based on user feedback.
Trades and services
Within each sector, you'll choose a primary trade, the specific work your company does. Examples include:
- Pipeline Construction and Integrity
- Crane and Heavy Lift Services
- Directional Drilling
- Hydrovac and Excavation
- Welding and Fabrication
- Electrical and Instrumentation
- Environmental Remediation
- Heavy Haul and Transportation
- Scaffolding and Insulation
- Safety and Rescue Services
You can also add secondary services to capture searches beyond your primary trade.
Regions
CrewFinder covers companies operating in:
- Canada: all provinces and territories, with particularly strong coverage in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario
- United States: all 50 states, with strong coverage in Texas, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and Colorado
- Australia: all states and territories, with coverage concentrated in Western Australia, Queensland, and New South Wales
Your service locations and radius determine where you appear in geographic searches. You can add as many locations as you need; there's no limit.
How to set your sector and region
Claim your profile
You need to claim your company listing before you can edit it. See How to Claim Your Company Profile if you haven't done this yet.
Go to Services & Trades
From your management dashboard, navigate to the Services & Trades section.
Set your sector and primary trade
Choose the sector and trade that best describe your core business.
Add locations
Navigate to the Locations section and add each office, yard, or service area with an accurate address and service radius.
