Job Description
Business Development Director to lead our expansion across Alberta and Western Saskatchewan. Ideal candidates are located within 150 km of Edmonton.
In this role you will own PRIMEC’s growth agenda through new channel partnerships, increasing demand, and targeted consolidation opportunities within the oil & gas E&I sector. This Director role is central to shaping our go-to market strategy, expanding territorial presence, and commercial strengthening. The Business Development Director is responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and long‑term customer relationships for Primec Controls. This role provides leadership for sales strategy execution, customer engagement, technical sales support, and business development initiatives across Primec’s products and services. The Director collaborates closely with internal teams—including inside sales, operations, and executive leadership—to identify opportunities, support project execution, and enhance overall business performance while maintaining compliance with Primec’s safety, quality, and ISO management systems.
Requirements
Proven experience in business development, sales leadership, or technical sales within industrial, oil & gas, instrumentation, electrical, or related sectors. Strong technical background in oil & gas or electrical. Strong technical understanding of products, systems, and service-based solutions. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer and vendor relationships. Strong analytical and financial acumen to evaluate and recommend strategic opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across operational, technical, and executive teams. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
